so this blog is pretty new, and i’ve already reached 170+ as well, i’ve met a bunch of amazing people in my time here that i’d just like to mention and give my thanks to- yeah. these are in no particular order, and they’re just people i could think of from the top of my head. it’s also really short… .. .
An eye for an eye? That saying is foreign to her. It sounds vaguely threatening; was it really so much trouble to share information about herself?
She regrets asking, now.
“Ah, uh…” Should she apologize? She can’t think of much else to say. “M-my condolences.”
Pointed ears twitch forward twice, signifying that despite her worry for Hana, she’s still rather curious. Damn this involuntary body language!

❝ …It’s fine, nothing to be done about it now, anyways. ❞
Of course, her hesitance could clearly be heard in her ever so soft tone. An apology? She was hardly used to those. No need to apologize to someone like her, after all, it didn’t matter. All the same, she appreciated that someone had the tact-
❝ Besides it’s…nice, I guess, to share these things…it doesn’t feel so lonely. ❞
Her back straightens. She’s quick to dispel her companion’s worries with a wide (if vaguely forced) smile, and a careful wave of her hand.
“No, it’s fine!” Her voice takes on a songlike tone, but it’s gone when she speaks again. One must wonder why. “But, um… W-would you be alright with talking about yourself a bit? You don’t have to if you don’t want to, but uh, admittedly I’m a little curious.”

Frown is gone, replaced with a nervous quirking of the brows. In time, the girl would have sickened and withered, crumbling to the query and voicing her past. But now, not now, not this time. Maiden willingly divulges information of no sensitivity to her, from memories dredged from close corners of her mind.
❝ Oh, ah, no…it’s fine, honestly. ❞
❝ Besides, an eye for an eye, right? ❞
A certain clarity be present within her small being, and she crumbles, specs of information falling over dull lips.
❝ So, ah…I was born here…I lived with my parents before this happened to me… ❞
❝ I didn’t have any siblings there…so it was a bit lonely, especially…because my parents weren’t around much because of their work…but it was pretty nice, otherwise. ❞
hana herself considers it a tradition to visit the graves around her tomb around midnight. call it simple, foolish wishing, but she likes to hope that she’ll meet others, become friends with them and such.
she likes to lie to herself that it’s not impossible, because they would’ve shown themselves by now.
It was only natural that Hana would ask; Wadanohara didn’t fault her for that. No, she holds herself to blame, for bringing it up at all. But to say that her kingdom had only ever known peace would have been a lie, and those have consequences much worse than the truth.
“There was a war.”
The words themselves summon a vivid picture in her head, one she never wanted to see again. Red surrounds her, and she has to blink a few times before she can continue.
“It was, uh… It was terrible. It’s over now, the… the attackers are sealed away now, but everybody’s still dealing with the aftermath. Everything will be okay though, it… always is. All we can do is look to the future, y’know?”

❝ …Yeah. ❞
Frown do break down visage even further, and the shade will have to breath an apology for asking not that breathing is required, in fact, it’s impossible. Slowly, lips part in a fragile attempt to say sorry, because it must’ve been awful for her. Hana had been a fool to bring it up.
❝ Ahm, I’m…sorry for asking. I shouldn’t have. ❞
❝ We can move on now, if you want. ❞
Hands wave in an abrasive manner, unable to properly express her guilty emotions at causing the witch distress.
“Uh? Oh, yeah! Yeah, I understand, I can do that.”
No she can’t. In fact, she can’t remember having been asked that before, much less having an answer. But she’s not one to refuse such a simple request.
The witch stammers a bit before actually managing to say something coherent.
“Well, um… I’m, uh, I’m a witch, and I live in the Sea of Japan. We don’t actually call it that, though, it’s kind of just the Sea Kingdom to us. Us being me and all the fish that live there…”
She scratches the back of her neck. Is it wise to tell all of this to a stranger? It’s hard to believe that Hana’s any sort of threat…
“It’s a nice place, really peaceful. Well I mean, mostly. Something happened recently but that’s over now, almost.”

Frown grows deeper at the mention of an occurrence in Wadanohara’s home. And almost over? What was that meant to mean; surely a struggle couldn’t be blooming, otherwise the ‘witch’ would not be here. Hana pictured her as a heroic, a heroine who fights valiantly, and wins just like in dog-eared library books long past overdue.
And so she shall ask.
❝ Ah, what was this 'something’ exactly? ❞
She is very nearly afraid of the girl’s answer; and so she shifts nervously hands that tug on weary plaits so very nearly break them, or so she believes. The breaking of her body is an impossible impossibility only recorded in fantasies. Of mental capacity, however…
The witch chuckles nervously. Her own hands mimic Hana’s movements out of lack of anything better to do, but unfortunately, she’s able to undo her braid - and does.
“Ah- Sorry.”
Why she apologizes is something of a mystery, but whatever the reason may be, what’s said is said. She quickly sets to work fixing her hair. “Um, if I’m bothering you, I can go.”

A frown is plastered on fragile visage, lacking annoyance or anger, but making up for that in melancholy.
❝ …No…It’s fine. ❞
Mind searches for a topic to explore as so to make the girl stay and talk, if only for a bit longer. Being alone again was certainly not a desirable option and, as such, she would try her luck to avoid such a situation.
❝ Hey, can you tell me more about yourself? ❞
❝ …It’s kinda weird to meet someone and not know anything about them other than their name. ❞
She smiles, kindly yet rather weakly, as she tries to formulate a response to the girl’s question. Why was she here? This visit couldn’t be called purposeful, but it certainly wasn’t happenstance, either.
“Ehh… I’m not sure, actually. I guess I was in the area, thought I might visit?”
Good enough, probably.
“Correct me if I’m wrong, but your name is… Hana?”
{ ✘♟✘ }
A nod, sheepish quirk of the lips growing wider at the thought that the girl had thought to visit her. How kind of her!
Maybe. She definitely heard a question mark at the end of that sentence. But it was of no matter, really. The girl was here now, correct?
❝ Uh-huh. ❞
❝ That’s pretty interesting…I guess? ❞
Hands shuffle to her braid, pulling at the ends and wishing she could undo it.
The fact that Wadanohara keeps finding herself in stranger and stranger places ought to be worrying, but by now she’s grown used to it. At least this tomb is somewhat familiar, as is its resident.
“Uh… Hello, again. Sorry if I’m intruding, I uh…”
What sort of excuse could she offer? She’s not lost enough for it to warrant attention, and the choice to go spelunking had been entirely her own.
“… Nevermind. But, ah, hi.”

Lips are dry, parched even, from the cold grasp that death had on them, but they don’t appear to inhibit her ability to communicate- as her damaged brain had in life. A smile slithers upon them, twisting her lips in her own macabre version of welcome.
❝ …Wadano…hara? Right? ❞
❝ …Hi to you too. ❞
Confusion had been imminent upon the other’s arrival, though, her brief reply had postponed it if only for a moment. However, now it had returned full force bringing the raising of her eyebrows and the pulling of fabric with it.
